CASP Tracker FAQ

What is a CASP under MiCAR?

A CASP is a Crypto-Asset Service Provider authorised under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation to provide crypto-asset services such as custody, exchange, execution or transfer.

Where does the CASP Tracker data come from?

It uses public data from the ESMA interim MiCA register, presented in a clearer, searchable format. See the methodology for details.

How often is it updated?

Weekly, based on the latest processed ESMA register data. The snapshot date is shown above the table.

Can I use this instead of the official ESMA register?

No. The tracker is a first-look tool. Always verify a provider's formal authorisation status against ESMA or the relevant national competent authority before relying on it.
